Chemical Skin Peel

How does a chemical peel work?

A chemical skin peel is a non-surgical treatment where a solution is applied to the face to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells to help improve the appearance of skin. It is a treatment generally used for anti-ageing but also for skin conditions such as acne.

What is the difference between BioRePeelCl3 and Glycolic Acid Peel?

BioRePeelCl3 is a new generation of chemical skin peels innovative biphasic medical device with the bio stimulating, revitalizing and peeling actions, with trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as the main ingredient that promotes peeling action. It removes the outer corneal layer cells with selective action on corneocytes’ junction bonds. It has 14 active ingredients that contribute to a profound stimulation of skin replication and biosynthetic process, essential to counter the effects of skin ageing and oxidative damage induced by the UV radiation and pollution. BioRePeelCl3 is scientifically approved.

What are the acids, amino acids, and vitamins contained in BioRePeelCl3?

  • TCA Trichloroacetic acid (35% for Face, Neck and Decollete and 50% for the entire body) – Peel, removes the outer cells of the stratum corneum by melting the corneocytes adhesion bonds, revealing fresher, healthier and less congested skin.
  • Poly-hydroxy acids: Lactobionic acid – moisturises the skin so when the peel is removed it gives the skin a velvet texture.
  • Beta-hydroxy acids: Salicylic acid.
  • Alpha-hydroxy acids: Tartaric acid, citric acid.
  • Amino acids: Glycine, Proline, Hydroxyproline, Arginine – Stimulates the fibroblasts activity and activates cutaneous proliferation.
  • Vitamins: C and B2.
  • Lifting agent: GABA (aminobutyric acid – muscle relaxant and thereby reduces lines/wrinkles).

How many treatments will I need?

For face 4-6 treatments, every 7-10 days, and for body 4-6 treatments, every 10-15 days depending on the indication or assessment of the treatment area. After 3 months an additional 4 to 6 sessions. However, you will see a significant benefit to their skin after just 1 treatment.

What can you expect during treatment?

After cleaning the area, BioRePeel is applied to the skin and the microneedling is applied to maximise the penetration of the product. During this treatment you will feel a tingling sensation, this stimulates the skin to trigger a healing process that rejuvenates it. The product is then removed and a hydration serum is applied and finished gel.

The peel is a none peeling peel meaning there’s minimal downtime, maybe a little redness. Excellent for that brighter tighter look. After your treatment it is essential that you use a high SPF cream to protect your skin from sun damage and maintain best results.

What can you expect Post-treatment?

Your skin may appear sunburnt and sore. It is usually necessary to apply more lotions to ensure the skin is cooled and feels more comfortable. After a few days, the skin will fall off.

However, with BioRePeel, even with this level of penetration for both face and body, the peel is extremely well-tolerated due to its biphasic technology.
